Women with a mission is a non-profit making organization whose objectives is to light up a candle for the female sphere. This association was founded by Miriam Gonza, in 2002 after a careful assessment of the need of local communities to accessible rights of women and development programs. It is registered as a CBO N0. WCBO/163 / 07.

TO DEVELOP A HARMONIOUS HARDWORKING WOMEN OF RESPECT IN THE YOUTH, DISABLED AND LESS PRIVILEGED CHILDREN

  PREAMBLE

 Women with a Mission, a nonprintable making organization was founded by Miriam Gonza in 2002, after a careful assessment of the need of local communities to be accessible to the rights of women and development programmes, with the main objective to light a candle in the female sphere.

 

VISION

 

Is to create a resourceful knowledge organization for women and youth.  

  

GOAL

The goal of WOWAMI is to have an educated empowered female for the best basic first unit. To contribute to the reduction of sexual child abuse and defilement cases, Idol and disorderliness and family disintegration.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

1.         To sensitize women as a mother in implementing a culture of self respect, patience and tolerance.

2.         To instill awareness to mothers the usefulness of bringing up the children in a befitting manner.

3.         To educate the parents children’s rights

4.         To sensitize a woman to register education for their children as a future life treasure.

5.         To introduce the teaching of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ which nurses and reforms peoples hearts and soul.

6.         To educate the woman and youth the importance of knowing the law (Domestic law).

7.         To educate the woman the importance of observing the health guidelines.

8.         To sensitize the woman to work hard and care for the family instead of entrusting them to other people as domestic aids where the husband has failed. 

 

 

9.         To empower women and their families to promote unity and concerted actions of Nsumbi

            community in Wakiso District by addressing the full spectrum of their economic development

            needs and the care of families infected and affected by HIV / AIDS

 

10.       To form strategic alliances with other STDS /HIV / AIDS education and support organisations to provide counselling, social    support, relevant training and materials to persons living with HIV / AIDS orphans and other vulnerable and marginalized groups.

 

11.       To mainstream HIV / AIDS awareness, control and mitigation in all community development,  cultural and recreational activities.

 

12.       To sensitize, mobilize and build the capacity of the community to promote self help initiatives to fight the spread of STDS HIV/ AIDS and other diseases of public healthy importance.

 

13.       To share knowledge, skills, expertise and resources in order to build the capacity of families and the community to improve the quality of life for all residents.

 

14.         Adult literacy and the education of girl child.

 

15.        To advocate for the promotion of prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV / AIDS at all aspects.

 

16.       To advocate for the promotion and development of women controlled methods of HIV / AIDS prevention.

 

17.       To undertake each initiatives in agricultural, commercial, industrial and other sectors as  shall be necessary for the creation.

 

AIMS

 

  • To create resourceful knowledge for the proper and fair parenthood.
  • To advocate and educate women about their rights in marriage.
  • To activate a sense of kindness, love and responsibility into parents, neglect and deprivation.
  • To bring about awareness of conductive parental – child development that may bring about a happy and prosperous livelihood.
  • To introduce women to home-management, hand skills which may generate income for the social being.
  • To attempt transformation of social, cultural and economical conditions of women in their communities.
  • To introduce youth to modest law values and society.
  • To introduce youths to simple hand training skills, which may offer to themselves made employment for their better livelihood.
  • To Liaise with Government authorities and donor agencies about the conditions of women and youths in their localities.

 

SERVICES

The nature of people women with a mission receives mostly women and youth 

 

1.      Who have been deprived of their rights to have joy and peace through losing their dear ones i.e. these are widows & orphans.

2.      They are under moral torture with physical scars.

3.      They have been deprived of their rights to family income generating resources (Projects)

4.      They have no principle support.

5.      They are struggling to care for themselves and their children.

 

WOWAMI  therefore offers the following service:.

Ø      Counseling and basic guidance

Ø      Imparting skills and knowledge.

Ø      Soliciting funds.

Ø      Organizing Voluntary services both National and International.

Ø      Offering Adult education programs.

Ø      Organizing Research articles in child and marital environment
